Singing barbershop harmony since 1972, the Cape Breton Chapter of the Barbershop Harmony Society celebrates 50 years of service in 2022. The chapter’s chorus, The Cape Breton Chordsmen, is composed of men of all ages who love the fellowship that singing in harmony brings. The group has also seen the formation of many quartets through the years, the best-known being “The Peach Chords” and “Quattro.” Although the group performs regularly to entertain concert audiences, its members are passionate about community service: singing at community guest homes, at fund-raising events, church services and for charitable causes.
