Cape Breton’s “Quattro” entertain the crowd at the CBRH Foundation celebration
The Cape Breton Chordsmen were invited to attend the celebration of the wrap up of the Cape Breton Regional Hospital Foundation’s successful fundraising campaign. Starting out with a goal of raising $10 million to support the redevelopment at the CB Regional Hospital, the Board announced that their final tally was an amazing $15 million for this worthy cause.
In attendance was Nova Scotia Premier Tim Huston, who announced to the full house at the Membertou Trade and Convention Centre the Province’s commitment to support the purchase of a PET Scan diagnostic device for the new cancer centre, only the second one in Nova Scotia.
Cape Breton barbershop quartet “Quattro” performed for the grateful crowd, part of the lineup of entertainment for the evening which included hosts Lucy MacNeil and Heather Rankin.
The Cape Breton Chordsmen received the invitation to attend the celebration because of their own donation to the fundraising campaign. In 2022, the Chordsmen donated the proceeds from their 50th Anniversary Concert, amounting to $10,000, to the CBRH “Cancer Care at Home” program.
