In recognition of the 50th Anniversary of the Cape Breton Chordsmen, Doug Schofield (Sunrise Division Manager of the Barbershop Harmony Society and former Chordsmen president) presented the chorus with a special certificate honouring their achievement. Mr. Schofield presented the certificate on April 11, 2022 by way of internet video conference, and the award was later obtained in person by current chapter president Gerald Farrell and displayed at the May 2 regular meeting.
