Be our guest in beautiful Sydney, Nova Scotia for a weekend of harmony and song, featuring the 2024 Barbershop Harmony Society Sunrise Division Convention.
Hearts of Kin, led by the soulful harmonies of sisters Danielle MacDonald and Shellie Ann Tobin, have been making a sensation on the East Coast music charts. After the release of their first full length album “Beautiful Burn” last October, the duo are here to kick off Harmony Weekend like only they can.
The Turnbull Brothers, twins Evan and Aaron, have been wowing local audiences with their harmonies since the age of 16. After reaching the finals of season two on the hit TV show “Canada’s Got Talent”, the brothers have been a constant feature of the Nova Scotia music scene, a perfect fit for the start of Harmony Weekend.
Stand back and be in awe of the Misty Creekers! Ben Reinhart multi-tasks while singing and playing banjo, Tom Hewlett fat-fingers his mini-bass, Jason Lahey manhandles his mandolin and Mike Finigan sings and plays his guitar upsidedown!
Ron Newcombe is a Nova Scotia based actor and vocalist who has frequented stages across the province. Tonight Ron will share the stage and harmonize with the masterful stylings of pianist Peter MacDonald.
Special appearance by the newly formed Cape Breton octet 8 Too Much. The group brings together the championship winning Cape Breton quartets “Quattro” and “Class Act”.
Prelude to Harmony MC Jack Ettinger, former school teacher and Cape Breton Chordsman, has been on stages across Canada as a multi-talented entertainer and also as a motivational speaker.
